Starting March 1st Bell and Rogers are going to implement their UBB scheme meaning ALL Canadians will have to suffice with a 25GB monthly cap. This means our Canadian members will have very little memory to spare for gaming, streaming videos and music, and other data heavy activities. But there is some hope, the Liberal party has taken it upon themselves to fight against the CRTC's decision to allow UBB. Any Canadians who read this, don't take this bull shit sitting down, if you're old enough you should support the Liberals and protest any way you can. For those who are younger, urge your parents to stand up against the CRTC as well as cancel any internet subscriptions if the UBB system is actually put to use.


TL;DR: Canadians will have 25gb monthly cap next month. If you're Canadian do what you can to make sure this doesn't happen.

Doesn't matter. Bell owns all the phone line infrastructure in Canada and leases its lines out to other companies who resell their internet. The UBB scheme makes all of Bell's leasers' subject to their standards meaning whatever Bell does, it's leasing customers must do the same. Same shit for Rogers except they own all the cable lines. Pretty much any other ISP out there in Canada is using Bell's or Rogers' lines meaning no matter who your ISP is you're pretty much fucked. Unless you're getting WiMAX.

You talk about free healthcare like its a good thing.
Free healthcare gives people who don't hav good money some leverage when they go to the hospital, which means tax dollars go to free healthcare, AKA more taxes, and possibly less money for the hospitals.
Less money forthe hospitals means less money for newer disease curing technology, and technology for discovering how to cure certain diseases.
Also less money to pay the doctors.
My mom is a fucking doctor.
