Suicidal people can be smart. We're all different people. Each one of us react differently to things. Basically from Newton's Laws: "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction."

You're implying that people who plan or have done suicide, are 'lame, weak, and selfish'. Take another perspective at it.

You also forgot to add physical reasons for committing suicide. (e.g. crippled, cerebral palsy, deaf, blind) Other than that, sure, they CAN be. That's most likely rather an opinion on what you said though.

ITT: People who dont understand how (real) depression works.

What this thread fails to address, is the difference between suicide for legitimate reasons, or brash sudden bursts of sadness, that are overrun with emotion. People who (try to) kill themselves because of their boyfriend breaking up, or failing a test or some shit, is the kind of suicide that is bad. Some people use it to force others to realize that they are indeed struggling in hard times, and that ******s that say "LOL you just need to man up and learn how to deal with it" are indeed ******s. Other people really dont have anywhere else to turn to, because the stress is too much for them, or they are physically incapable of returning to a normal position.

Suicide is in no means ever considered right, but the notion of it, and the attempts are usually people reaching out in the last way that they can, to get some much needed help.

You're assuming only suicidal people commit suicide. Many people have commited suicide for some "greater good", I believe that in some ancient times (I really don't remember who, probably some Romans) gave the occupied people a choice of either giving some land and belonging or something or having the head of the family commit suicide (or something like that, dunno where I heard it or if it's even reliable, but you surely get the idea).

Bcuz i have experience with this..
When my mother was pregnant of my sister..When she was almost born, the doctor said she is not alive anymore...The heart of my sister was not hitting anymore...So my mum requested god to save her, And he did it...Now she is alive and with a good life ^^

my grandma lost her older son when he was 2,and she was pregnant with my mother after that.
doctors diagnosed that my mother would either die or be born retarded.Neither happened.
My grandma prayed and made a Tama(I think it's ex-voto in english).My mother was born perfectly normal

There's a somewhat thin, but not too thin line between suicide and self-sacrifice. Many people that have committed suicide thought that by dying, they could relieve the stress they may have caused to their family, but sadly, it doesn't.
