You can thank Manifest Destiny for the dead native americans.

I already knew Manifest Destiny destroyed half of the native americans.
The thing I wanted to try and focus on now is the Black Hills that Sioux and Cheyenne had control over.
Gen. Custer broke the treaty the Sioux & Cheyenne had with the United Sates when he found out that there was gold where the Black Hills were located.
Custer and 260 men died that day because he got greedy.
