Lan server help needed

So im hosting a minecraft lan server, but i have a problem. I want to be able to make it so you only need to put text in, like minecraft.server or something into multiplayer, instead of a internal IP. I thought of using no-ip, but that only works for external. Does anyone have an idea on how to make a internal IP, into a dns or w/e. Cheers
