I am absolutely screwed. Basically, it's impossible for me to get a credit second language which I means both SFU & UBC + Any other decent university is out of the questions(not like I could afford them anyway.) That lands me in BCIT which I'm not even sure offers computer engineering; I'll speak to their counsellors ofc.

Not to say BCIT is a bad school but it's a college and not a university. I wonder if I'm at peace with it or not - I feel like a failure right now And I didn't even do anything wrong. My language classes were full and I've been trying every semester since to get into once.

Not really. My university requires two years to apply to the college, and it requires 3 years to be exempt from having to take it in college. I only took two years so now I have to take it at my university.

It does answer your question, They're telling you to try out the fucking assignment to see if you have enough ability to work at a second year level. Implying that yes, you can skip a year of language if you can put up with the work.
