    Post Which Graphics Card?

It's time for a new Graphics Card, my current 8800 GTS is quite old and I cannot even play the Crysis 2 MP Demo smooth. Please give me your advice on a new Graphics Card

    Budget: $200 - $275 (preferably below $250)

    My rig:
    • CPU: Intel i5 750 (Quad)
    • Motherboard: Gigabyte P55-UD3
    • Memory: 4GB (DDR3)
    • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
    • Operating System: Windows Ultimate 7 64 Bit

It will be used for gaming mostly (CoD/BF/Crysis 2 etc), and I want it to run new games decent (Medium) for the next 3+ years

I was thinking of one of these, but I have no idea really If you have a better deal for me, tell me! (And is it a good time to buy a new Graphics Card now, due 3D coming up?)

    AMD Radeon HD6850
    Zotac GeForce GTX 460 1GB

3D is no biggie, any current gfx card should be able to handle it. Regarding the GTX 460 and HD6850 they're about the same powerful with the 6850 being newer & overall a tad bit better, so I would go for it. For the "Nvidia" experience (better drivers, proper 3D, CUDA...) I would get the 460 though. Really depends what you want

I'll give you my recommended stuff tomorrow, don't really have the time to check stores around Europe right now, but I think that you could get both the 560 and 6870 for around 200€ (and of those two I would recommend the 560 since it's, well, Nvidia and also generally considered "better" )

    Thanks for your answer

    Asus GeForce GTX 460 - €133 / $186
    Zotac GeForce GTX 460 1GB - €169 / $236
    GeForce GTX 560 1GB - €230 / $322
    XFX Radeon HD 6850 Black Edition Dual Fan 1 GB - €170 / $238
    Sapphire HD 6870 1GB - €180 / $252

Overall I've had good experiences with NVIDIA, but I'm sure I'll do great with others aswell
