I thought thats pretty much how it is I grew up around guns (Primarily for hunting purposes, but my aforementioned stepdad also had a few tricks for home defense) and I believe that we should be able to have them, so long as like you said, you can pass a background check, have a license to have them.

And outlawing guns is not particularly going to stop people from getting their hands on them. All that is doing is taking it away from the people who would use the for good, and leaving the bad guys to still get them.

Not a chance in hell firearms won't be needed for a revolution. Look at Africa. Even with how poor it is, there isn't a conflict not involving weapons. Come back to America, huge military force. The national guard alone could EASILY handle any "revolution" not involving firearms.
