BF2 wep unlocks and mods.

First of all, weapons unlock trick - which most of you should know already!

Note: This CAN be used online - with any server - but ONLY with BF2 vanilla (no patches) and can be used on any server at all.

Go to :

C:\Program Files \EA Games\Battlefield 2\python\bf2\stats

OR

C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\python\bf2\stats (64 bit users only)

right click file called "unlocks" then select open with, then notepad

search for lines (there should be 2)

"defaultUnlocks = [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0]"

and change to "

defaultUnlocks = [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1]"

Next, this will show you how to simply change most aspects of the game and allow you too change it too your preferances BUT PLEASE REMEMBER OFFLINE ONLY ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

1. Locate the file called : "Objects_server" @

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2
OR
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 (64 bit users only)

2. Copy & Paste to desktop

3. Extract to a new folder, use winrar to extract if you dont have it download from official site here WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

4. This when the Modding begins i shall give a few examples

Unlocking weapons: open kits folder, select an army

select a kit

then edit the last line

ObjectTemplate.unlockLevel 0

change to

ObjectTemplate.unlockLevel 1

change the 0 to a 1 for all aarmies + kits to unlock all weps

if instead u have a 1 instead of a 0 to begin change the original 1 to a 0

When your finished modding select all the original files you extracted, right click and select "add to archive" create a .zip and call it Objects_server

Finally move this new file into

C:\Program Files \EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2
OR
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 (64-bit only)

AND PLAY!!

weapon damage: open "weapons" folder, then handheld (for guns) and select the weapon you want to change e.g "USSNI_M95_Barret" for m95 barret

open ussni_m95_barret.tweak file with notepad, press ctrl+f and search for damage

you should see the lines

ObjectTemplate.minDamage (this is the minimum damage inflicted)
ObjectTemplate.damage (this is the maximum damage inflicted)

for a good one shot kill + light vehical damage

change to

ObjectTemplate.minDamage 500
ObjectTemplate.damage 1000

weapon mag size, number of mags &reload time:
search the weaopn .tweak file for mag
you should see the lines

ObjectTemplate.ammo.magSize
ObjectTemplate.ammo.nrOfMags
ObjectTemplate.ammo.reloadTime

increase or decrease these as you wish (reload time is in seconds)

this showas im using the sniper kit

this shows im using the unlocked barret .50
shown using v1.5
weapon recoil:
search for recoil

you should see

ObjectTemplate.recoil.hasRecoilForce 1
ObjectTemplate.recoil.recoilForceUp CRD_UNIFORM/5.2/4/0
ObjectTemplate.recoil.recoilForceLeftRight CRD_UNIFORM/-1/1/0

change these for recoil

i only change the recoil force but feel free to play around

weapon zoom:

search for zoom

you should see

ObjectTemplate.zoom.zoomDelay 0.15
ObjectTemplate.zoom.zoomLod 1
ObjectTemplate.zoom.addZoomFactor 0
ObjectTemplate.zoom.addZoomFactor 0.5
ObjectTemplate.zoom.changeFovDelay 0.1
ObjectTemplate.zoom.zoomOutAfterFire 0
ObjectTemplate.zoom.disableMuzzleWhenZoomed 0

for

ObjectTemplate.zoom.zoomOutAfterFire 0
ObjectTemplate.zoom.disableMuzzleWhenZoomed 0

0 means no 1 means yes

sprint dissapation:
this can be changed by altering the army kit files (see last post)

select army
select kit
then search for sprint change to 0.2 for lighter infantry (sniper) 0.4 for heavier (spec ops)

Many other things can be edited using the same idea play around and see whats good

once finished modding select all folders extracted, right click, select add to archive call it Object_server.zip MUST BE .ZIP and put back in the bf2 mods folder

Change Number/Bot Difficulty:

go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\AI
OR
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\AI (64-bit users)

open the file "AIDefault" with notepad

you should see

rem aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 1
rem aiSettings.setMaxNBots ???
rem aiSettings.maxBotsIncludeHumans 0
rem aiSettings.setBotSkill ?.?

delete the "rem" and replace the question marks with your settings

i usually play with 100 bots at difficulty 0.6

so mines looks like

aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 1
aiSettings.setMaxNBots 100
aiSettings.maxBotsIncludeHumans 0
aiSettings.setBotSkill 0.6

NOTE: YOU WILL NEED A QUAD CORE PC FOR 100 BOTS

picture shows 50 bots in each team (including me i make 51)
