Visual Studio just stole the last six hours of my life.

I was writing JWars (My version of core wars) when all of a sudden Visual ****** Studios laggs up forcing me to end the process. Now, I saved this shit, so..

Anyway, I open up VS again and it's gone. Not in the solutions directory. I'm scanning my HDD, If it's gone Ima be so pissed off.

It's VS has a backup folder for my project - BUT WAIT - It's fucking empty :@

And I know I saved because I hit Ctrl + S every time I change a line(because that "*" beside the file name pisses me off for some reason)

true. i dont normally ctrl + s everything, and in Sony Vegas, when im ready to finish, when i click the button (i forgot what it was), it fuckin closes.
