Nexon is gonna "fix" lag guys

Dear Combat Arms Players,

As promised in our recent Next Steps announcement, we are in the process of setting up new hardware to help reduce lag symptoms while in matches. We would like to share with you now our upcoming plans for Combat Arms. We hope that these changes will help all players, new and veteran, have a better play experience.

Launch East Coast and West Coast Servers –

Starting on April 27th, you will be able to select either an East Coast or West Coast server to join after logging in. Players are encouraged to select the server for the North American coast they are closest to. Your account, NX, and inventory items will not be affected by your choice of server.

As everyone is currently playing on the West Coast server, the East Coast server will launch with a brief beta period, and will likely start with a small number of channels. During this time, we will monitor the server performance as well as request your feedback.

We will officially launch the East Coast server after the beta period is complete.

Server and Channel Redesign –

Once the East Coast server officially launches, both East and West Coast servers will be streamlined to make it easier for you to find the right kind of match that you want to play.

The servers will be separated as follows:

Server Type
Restrictions
EXP / GP Increase
Normal
Ranks Recruit – Staff Sergeant III
None
Normal
Ranks Sergeant First Class I and higher
10%
Rec Rules
None
None
Nx Grade
NX Bronze Grade or higher
15%
Clan
Clan Members
20%

The main goal of this reorganization is to make it easier for players of any level to find a match to jump into. As a part of this goal, servers will no longer be restricted by KDR or Clearance Levels. They will continue to be restricted by Rank, so players will still be matched with players of their own skill level.

We believe these changes will result in a significant improvement to the quality of your game play experience, as well as make it quicker and easier for everyone to get into a match and start playing.

As always, we want to hear from you! Please send us your feedback, questions, and concerns. We will keep you updated regarding any changes in our plans.

We want to thank you for your dedication and passion for Combat Arms. We are excited to take this next step and look forward to seeing you on the battlefield.
