Google chrome does not let you publish your extensions for free anymore . I do not know how much they charge but I know it is not free anymore . @NextGen1

They don't have to be published and managed through Google's page. It can be put on MPGH's server, and then linked to from a link in the header.

@ImaOwn what @ConnorCG said , When You said 'Published' My brain translated it as 'packed" , Cause the opposite of source is 'Packed' & you can pack your extension (which is the acceptable format), and then the winners will be hosted here.

Oh so when I go into developer mode and usually I would pick load unpacked extension , I would instead pick " pack extension " ? If so then I understand and Ill upload one in a few days .

Yes, Test it as unpacked , make modifications as you need (if you load a unpacked version, most modifications made to the source will effect the extension in real time)
When you have finished and are satisfied, upload it and use the format provided in the guidelines
