Te sugiero una Nvidia 9500 GT si no tienes mucha plata
Pero si tienes suficiente, pues comprate la 9800 GT que tiene Anti Aleasing lo cual es practicamente un suavisado de bordes para que la imagen se vea mas nitida.

Esta tarjeta tambien tiene puerto HDMI en caso que tengas una TV Plasma o LCD.

No te recomiendo las ATI aunque algunos modelos que son bien economicos, brindan un rendimiento similar a las de Nvidia.
