So, a SGT is fail compared to CSM? I'm a SGT atm, and I'm using the L96. Is that good for MY rank?

L96, because you have to be a fucking captain rank for any good GP sniper
Depends what kind of sniper you are. If you are a person who likes to do one-shot and you're done (unless against tanker) and have very good quick-scoping accuracy, I would suggest the L96A1. It is a very nice gun (reasonably priced except you can't afford it forever!) that is very popular for it's damage. However, the L96A1 is a bolt-action rifle. This means that after each shot you have to go through a reload action. Sometimes the rifle glitches and you can have 2 shots in a row, but never more than that.
If you are a person who doesn't want to waste time reloading in-between shots and can afford to miss some shots then I would go with a semi-automatic sniper rife. One popular semi-automatic sniper rifle is the SR-25. Also reasonably priced, its damage is still fairy decent and is great for camping spots. However, semis also have quit a bit of recoil so using it while crouched or slow-walking helps greatly improve your accuracy.
Both the L96A1 and SR-25 are called "noob guns" by many experienced (meaning Nx buyers) and/or AR users due to the fact that L96 is overused specifically for its one-shot-kill damage and the fact that semi-automatic sniper rifles are regarded as not legit (because professional snipers rely one bolt-actions, idk). However, screw other people's opinions, if you have the money, I would suggest that you experiment for yourself. Use the combat arms shop to your advantage so you can compare the stats of the guns that you are interested in!
