Gun Review Of The Week: The M4a1 Family

• First thoughts

The average M4a1:
The most average gun in the game. Average everything for assault rifles. I'm pretty sure if you average out all the assault rifles in the game, this'll be the middle.
M4a1-adv:
This was the first m4a1 variant, was probably the best gun in the game at the time.
M4a1-E:
It's the M4a1 custom, but with one big difference. The scope. Not the cool scope which most people get, but the 2x zoom of an sg, or aug. Oh and it looks fucking badass.
M4a1-Custom:
I remember first seeing this gun, falling in love with it. But when I bought one with coupons for some reason I hated it. Don't know why, so I got rid of it.
M4a1 Crystal:
When I first saw it I thought 80 coupons was stupidly high for just an m4a1 silver. But infact, it's not an m4a1 silver, it's worse. Much much worse. 30/90 ammo not even extended, and it's spray (Imo) seems higher than the silver's, although semester dissagree's with me.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal: Frankly it's just the m4a1 custom which looks like ice. Although it's actually pretty good.
M4a1-Silver:
It's actually really good, looks stylish. Great gun to have.
M4a1-Gold:
Hmm. It doesn't look THAT great, ok it looks better than the normal one, but it looked a lot better with the tiger grip. And it doesn't have a silencer like the other variants?

• Power

The average M4a1:
Again, pretty much average. 4 chest, 5 limbs, 1 head, or something like that.
M4a1-adv:
Same as the m4a1, I assume.
M4a1-E:
Custom power, although I though it was slighty less. Tbh might be me making up shit, I dunno?
M4a1-Custom:
Most people seem to think it's less than the m4a1 due to the silencer, but I don't think it is. I think it's slighty higher, only 1 or 2 hp really. Not that worth it.
M4a1 Crysal:
4 shot kill chest, 5 in limbs, one hit head. In other words, m4a1 style. No buff's what's so ever, making is pretty much useless considering there's better m4a1's, for a cheaper price.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
Higher than the m4a1 custom? I don't know, Think it is.
M4a1-Silver:
Normal for an m4a1, can get some pretty quick kills.
M4a1-Gold:
High than the m4a1, slightly.

• Recoil

The average M4a1:
Yet again, completely and utterly average. Less than the ak, but tbh I think it has too much recoil. but that's my opinion. Easily manageable anyway
M4a1-adv:
Slightly less than the m4a1, due to the silence. But this makes it quieter and more manageable.
M4a1-E:
Less than the M4a1 due to the silencer, but it's the same as the custom really. When your inside the zoom, which just pushes the screen forward effectively, your second shot won't hit where the first one did, unlike the custom which stays still for 4 or 5 shots.
M4a1-Custom:
Same as the m4a1-E but in the scope for the first 4-5 shots it will go to exactly the same place. from the hip the spread isn't that much, you can get some pretty good spray kills.
M4a1 Crysal:
As i said before, I feel it's spray is more loose than the silver, although other people think it's tighter. I haven't used it much, so i might be wrong but it defiantly feels different.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
Not that high, custom recoil pretty much, but I think it has slightly less. I got a pretty good spray kill earlier over ship.
M4a1-Silver:
You can get some pretty decent sprays, seems lower than the other's.
M4a1-Gold:
It has a lot of recoil, i don't know why. It just does.

• Reload

The average M4a1:
Won't kill you, at all. Pretty good tbh.
M4a1-adv:
Faster than the m4a1, very useful in tight situations.
M4a1-E:
Faster than the m4a1, not really noticeable, won't kill you but might not save you. With the +5 ammo, you reload less, so it's ok.
M4a1-Custom:
Faster than the m4a1, but again it's not alot faster.
M4a1 Crysal:
Apparently it's faster than the normal m4a1, but I really can't see it. Think of the m4a1 silver reload, and your there. Simple as. Everything seem's coypied from that gun.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
Faster than the custom I believe. Doubt you can blaim it for your death, unless your unlucky.
M4a1-Silver:
Faster than the average, but slower than other variants.
M4a1-Gold:
Fastest out of the m4a1's. With the most ammo, +8.

• Range/accuracy

The average M4a1:
It isn't pinpoint, but you can pull off some pretty good shots.Depending on how lucky you are, depends on how long you can pull off shots. sometimes you'll randomly miss, others you won't.
M4a1-adv:
Doesn't have a great range tbh. You can (if your good enough) pull off some good shots, but it still matters on how lucky you are.
M4a1-E:
I actually like a scope like this better than the actual dot ones. Because of this you can get pretty good ranges. But it will not always hit exactly where you aim, there is a small amount of spread over long differences. Depending on luck, depends your range.
M4a1-Custom:
The scope is very good, but over long distances if you place the dot over their head, you'll most likely get them. But the problem is, most of the time you can't see how close you are to their head, double tapping is how you get past that.
M4a1 Crysal:
Very good accuracy, standard m4a1. Headshot any range, one hit kill. Not ak accuracy but m4a1 accuracy. It's pretty good at this, but not the best in any way.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
When your scoped in you can fire 5-6 shots before it starts to recoil, one more than the average custom.
M4a1-Silver:
One of the most accurate, just doesn't have a scope.
M4a1-Gold:
Same as the m4a1, which is what the gun seems like. Just gold with +8 ammo.

• Price

The average M4a1:
40k gp, average. Again.
M4a1-adv:
7 days: 2800 ZP, 30 days: 5600 ZP, 90 days: 14000 ZP. Although you get it a lot in crates.
M4a1-E:
Zp crate, 1k zp each crate. Same as the m4a1 custom, and I don't know why. Seems stupid really.
M4a1-Custom:
Zp crate, 1kzp each crate. 70 coupons Less than the crysal for some reason.
M4a1 Crysal:
Very very expensive.. 80 coupons. Total rip off imo.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
20 ribbons, other than that free.
M4a1-Silver:
8900bp, Which as seen as bp is demoniacally "free" as you buy the zp, it's very good.
M4a1-Gold:
100 coupons, same as the gold ak.

• Is it worth it?

The average M4a1:
Yeah, I would highly recommend for people starting the game to get this, No worries.
M4a1-adv:
Yeah, in crates. But buying timed guns with zp is never worth it.
M4a1-E:
Yeah, but if you've already got the m4 custom, there's not really much point in getting this. Unless you want to collect the m4's or you like the looks.
M4a1-Custom:
Yes. What a lot of people do is they go for a different crate gun, but use coupons to get this one.
M4a1 Crysal:
No. I mean if you really want an m4a1 crystal... Get a custom. It's cheaper and better. 5+ ammo and a scope, it's just so much better.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
Yeah. Really is. Basically it's free. You get ribbons for things you naturally do anyway, so it's just a reward.
M4a1-Silver:
Yeah. As seen as it's "free"
M4a1-Gold:
Yeah. Although it takes ages to the coupons, unless you have enough money.

• Overall

The average M4a1:
Average, that's it.
M4a1-adv:
Very good for it's time, but it's quite out dated now.
M4a1-E:
An m4a1 custom, which looks cooler with a different scope. Can't see much point in having it really.
M4a1-Custom:
Great. After using it again, it feels very easy to manage. Powerful, silent. Deadly.
M4a1 Crysal:
It's not a hugely bad gun, but there's guns which are pretty much the same but better. It's just a complete rip off and a gun I will never buy.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
A free m4a1 custom, just slightly better.
M4a1-Silver:
Great great gun. Like an adv, but perm.
M4a1-Gold:
Not brilliant for what it is. It's a showoffs gun pretty much.

• Who should use it?

The average M4a1:
People starting, or people who simply don't want/can't use an ak. There's nothing wrong with that, use what you want to use.
M4a1-adv:
Anyone buying zp crates, it's good. But there are better guns.
M4a1-E:
People who'd rather the zoom than the dot scope. Personal preferences really.
M4a1-Custom:
Someone with enough cash.
M4a1 Crysal:
No-one. Everyone should use another m4a1 variant. Also, noobs with rush to your dead body time and time. If you don't like that? Don't buy this gun. It's bright as anything so you'll get seen easily.
M4a1 Custom-Crystal:
Anyone who's got it really.
M4a1-Silver:
Anyone with it, who wants a cheap sound whore gun.
M4a1-Gold:
People who love to show off, and who don't mind people stealing their gun over and over.
