Thats not possible. i have my iphone jailbroken right now and just synced alot of songs on today.

wrong is wrong..need proof?

When you start your iTunes and plug your iPod.
It should automaticaly upgrade. (Be sure to Restore your ipod first)

it wont automatically upgrade, it gives you a popup asking you yes/no.

you cant downgrade without the SHSH, they were right.
apple just recently started to lock people onto their current firmware so they cant jailbreak. theres a 4.3.2 jailbreak out tho.
