What kind of options do I have here?

I am wondering if i can hook up a portable DVD player to become an extended display for my computer. I currently do not have a S-video slot on the back of my computer from a graphics card, but I do have one from a TV Tuner that is not installed yet. I have all of the wires that I will need to get only the video to display on the DVD player but I am wondering if this is even possible to have a TV tuner output a display.

Afaik most TV tuners don't output video, they just receive it. Unless otherwise stated somewhere in the product description / manual or something, I doubt it would work out

Alright, I think I am just going to get a VGA to S-Video adapter or something along those lines.
