[Tutorial] Change your IP to unban yourself

Edit: sorry pics have been removed

    Tutorial on changing your IP

    Requirements:
    Windows NT/2000/XP
    Dynamic IP

    Tools Needed:
    None

Notes: Doesnt work for all games

First hit the start button located on the bottom left corner of the screen, then press run... A box should appear as shown below, type in 'command' or 'cmd'and hit 'OK' or press Enter.

Once you have done that, a black window should appear, type in 'ipconfig' and hit enter, and your IP and all should appear.

Now, once done that, type in 'ipconfig /release', be sure to add the space inbetween them. This step takes a while, maybe 30 seconds, and once its done, everything should be reset to 0.0.0.0

Once everything has been reset, type in 'ipconfig /renew', again, be sure to add the space, and this step takes a while also, maybe 1-2 minutes.

And your done! Now go back in that game, and tell them to not mess with you, keep doing this until they get tired and just beg you to leave ... Lol Flawless

Depends. There are many ways to ban.

First way is his solution, IP Ban.
This only works if you have a dynamic IP. Most of you do.

Second way is to DNS Ban.
This way is counterable by using a proxy.

Third way is internet hardware ban.
It basically sends your MAC address of you LAN Port or 56k port. You can change your LAN port easily.

    Fourth way is software ban.
This is a ban, that either when you wipe your computer or delete the file will you be able to play the game.

    Fifth way is harddrive ban.
Basically this is a ban that bans your drive's volume number. This is counterable by changing your hard drive's volume ID, or running off a flash or USB stick or off your Ipod or PSP.

Also another method, putting hidden files.

Take Infantry for instance, they check your harddrive number and if there is a file called MSDOS.bin. MSDOS.bin needs to be removed, it is hidden on the harddrive, and you have to unhide it using a bat file.
