Does nVidia driver updates include a program for overclocking?
Like how ATI has Catalyst Control Centre?
I never used nVidia before.

Yeah you can set Nvidia's program to overclock for you, it'll continually raise the clocks until it becomes unstable then scale it back a bit so you get the most out of your card. But depending on how extreme you want to go it may keep you from using your PC for a few hours while it boots up and down while stressing the card.

When it comes to gaming it really wont make much of a difference just because it wouldn't bottleneck your performance unless it performs much worse than your graphics card. Most of the time for gaming you're going to want to have enough ram and a good enough graphics card. Most processors won't hold you back as much as having a shitty graphics card would

I can have multiple (lots of) tabs open, plus games, plus media player, while compiling my downloads back together, without lagging.

I'll just make the fan go higher, don't want auto-tune to fuck up the card.
I used autotune once, now everytime I go CCC, my computer crashes.
That was my 5770 HD.
I sold it to my friend who plays Starcraft 2.
SC2 don't need that good enough of graphics.
BC2 does.

My friend ordered 3 580s (all from different manufacturers), and they were all DOA.


I have 2gb ram. Oddly enough, that's all I ever needed.
Am upgrading to 16gb over the summer.
