Free Roam Vindictus

So, I was browsing the Nexon site for god who knows what reason and I came across their voting panel, in this panel read stupid things like "What do you thin Nexon should implement?" I kind of brushed it off and aimlessly read it, til I came across one bit of info that sparked my intest. "Open world fights. I want to be able to fight mobs is open fields!" This got me thinking, could the ACTUALLY be doing something correct? I mean if they do this I will in all honesty quit hacking, no joke, this shit would make my year. Vindictus has such a amazing battle system, that with free roam would make it perfect. Don't get me wrong my bot would still be update, would be a little more pointless, but updated never the less. Discuss below...

isn't that make it like every other game like WoW open field or Silkroad. but it look cool too. maybe they realize how Blade and Soul are selling in Korea, a little change in style is good.

A little change? This would be a HUGE change, they would have to completly rework EVERY mission.

Agreed 100%, and the fact that the missions are basicly like a LAN connection, it is all ran off the host.

It's impossible with any version of the source engine, much less the 2006 build which doesn't have any support for large-scale battles like Episode 2's version.

Also, I despise "open world" garbage. That's the only reason I LIKE Vindictus.

I'm more interested to see how they'll implement it if anything, sounds like a lot of work for a game that so far has been based off instance runs.

yea i want free roam too.. n rare boss hunting like in cabal.. n they drop special drop n what not.. like gears but not the same for everyone.. i mean nexon gears and equip system are pretty boring.. aside from having different enchant and enhance, everything is the same.. crap..
also would this be good for botting in a free world? i mean you just record ur action n do it over n over again...

The thing here is that usually, open world MMO's have loooong sections of field with plain NOTHING. They also have some sort of transport system (teleports, mounts, w/e). IF they get to a point where the open world fighting does not end in 10-15 minute running from one point to the next to kill 1 lame ass mob... I could see the potential increase,

yeah that shit is gonna be insane, i'll probably forget about everything else once i get it. it happens to release on my birthday so its perfect and as for the open field thing, i really dont care what they do. at this point vindi is better than every other shit mmo out there (imo) so as long as they keep the fighting system as it is im happy.

Skyrim's "really" coming out in 2012 for me. That's with me giving a highly generous allowance of 2 months for every single animu mod to be ported over, by the way. I honestly can't understand how people can stand the vanilla models for their characters.
