[Question] G7A Gas, and the other orangey one

You know that there are those annoying smokes, one orange and one purple slowly suck your health. Well, I've been wondering. When I first started CA and got caught into the smoke, my screen was like blinking orange. Not sure for the purple one. And now it blinds me. Both. I use goggles, gas masks (both) but I still get blinded. Other people don't. If there's an obvious solution, I'm sorry but please tell me if you know the answer.

The orange is incendiary, like napalm. Your technically on fire, so a mask won't help.
The purple is nerve gas, therefore, the mask will protect you.

umm maybe some of your files are mseed up im not sure cuz ive never heard of this happening before, maybe re-installing will help

The same thing happens to me.. Both Nerve Gas and Incendiary grenades..
They black out my screen completly,
But recent videos I've seen of Combat Arms with people getting hit by Incendiary/Nerve Gas and they just kinda flash red/purple screens,
Not completely go black..

you might literally be "blinded" because your video card doesn't support the game or you dont have the current driver. also happens if you dont have direct x 9 or 10. otherwise, the orange just makes your screen pulse with red and makes you grunt like an idiot homo-erectus

Nothing is "mseed up". At least I don't think so. Yes, incendiary will cause the flashing orange screen and your guy will be saying "watch your shot" (or something like that with grunting noises). As for the part I missed, not be able to see anything, that could be a flash grenade tossed at or near you. I wasn't sure what it was at first either, then it clicked. If someone throws a nade or smoke(orange or purple), sometimes other players will throw what they got (nades, smoke, gas, or flash) where one of the previously mentioned landed. Also, the combination of the incendiary and flash leaves you blind and your HP and AP decreasing. Easy targets loosing life, quick to kill.

if it was flash, it would be a white screen. the black screen is caused by the lack of hardware.

forthewin123, You're right. I didn't read Javelin's post which detailed the color of the screen. AgentElmo just stated that he was blinded.

LOL. I get it, search can help me, too. But I'm sick of reading the posts left in response to a question. The ones that just say tell them to search, and sometimes, I search instead of the person asking. Which explains, to ME, why they posted the question.
Between "search button" and "this is spam" posts, I do alot of scrollin'.

So.. anyone know why? Because I'm sure I've got all the files. I never messed around with my stuff. And my screen also didn't get blinded when I went in the smoke a long time ago, but now it doesn't. the screen just turns black.

Yeah.. I used to get the pulsating orange/purple screen in pre-open beta, But now my screen just totally goes black. And my friend whom has an amazing graphics card (He can run Crysis on the second highest graphics) has the same problem. And once again, He used to get the pulsating orange/purple, But now just black. And it gets HELLA annoying cause if I'm chasing someone and they throw an incendary at their feet and I get hit by it, Even the littlest bit, my screen goes black, Then I have no clue where they are, they realize that I'm not chasing them, Turn around and kill me. Really annoying..

Javlin, mines is exactly like that. I play CA with a newbought laptop, but still I get blinded. -jealousy for people who don't get blinded-

Actuly, if u buy the 2nd gas mask, the orange gas won't affect you. If they patch i don know
