    Winnipeg team expected to announce 'Jets' name before pick

    Its near official!
    They will most likely name Winnipeg's new NHL team, the "Winnipeg Jets"!

    I'm soo glad they may be going this way!

    Watch the 2011 NHL Draft tonight on TSN. Its starting in about 3 hours from now. Thats when they will announce the team's name as Winnipeg has 7th overall pick.

    Noooo.....I have known Winnipeg got its team from Atlanta ever since it was announced on June 1st.

    But ever since then it has been the name game. And just about 30 minutes ago, it was announced on TSN, that they may infact name the team the Winnipeg Jets. In the past couple weeks names have been going around of the Winnipeg Rebels or the Winnipeg Blizzard, but now those are all out of the question.
