Yes. Yes you can.

I've done it so that I could make my own clan. I don't really remember exact details on how to do it though

But I do know you go here: Clan Home

Look around there. There should be somewhere that says "Leave Clan" I would figure it out but I'm the clan leader so the only options I have is to disban the clan.

After you leave your clan you can't join another one within 24 hours

Wtf only 24 hours when I left my clan I was thinking it was 4 hours and waited.
