In my eyes, the lower ROF makes this gun inferior to the m4... Especially in close range.

I don't know, I rarely get into close range fights due to the fact I go around the map with long sight lines, i'm a sniper at heart, and this gun just rapes over long-ish ranges as well as being more than adequate up close and personal. Although the m4 may beat you close range, an ak would easily beat an m4. But then again, a kriss might beat the ak, and an awm might better the kriss. It's the player, not the gun, imo.
