Fastest OS for my setup?

Well I've decided to reinstall. Everything has already been backed up and I plan on sticking to a windows OS due to gaming obviously.


Specs on the system this is happening on:

Phenom X6 1100T
8GB Ram G.Skill
5830 Crossfired
Asus Xonar Essence STX


I'm pretty lost on what 64Bit OS i should install, suggestions! let it at me.

Get Seven, but you can try XP if you prefer too, will be fucking fast on both OS.

0~4% CPU Usage at the moment idling with chrome, itunes & msn open on W7 with 25% physical memory. I was thinking about XP to remove that huge hit on the ram. hmm...fine i will reuse 7

I was thinking about vista tooo because I can edit the DLL's and change start up animations and sounds, etc. which isnt possible in 7 as far as I know, but! the performance isnt worth it.

You have 8GB RAM just like me, don't you think using everything you have right? Get the Seven, will be fast too.

if you put windows 98 on it it will be started up in 1 sec xd

but with your pc i should go for a pc with w7 64 bit
