Why so many illegal coppies of minecraft..? we should support notch by buying the game \= anyone else agree?

Debatable; Some people think it is worth it buying games over 60$ and think that cracking games under 60$ are nothing. Some people may think cracking games over 60$ and buying games under 60$.

He's obviously aware of all the piraters as he put in the 'you have not bought minecraft ' thing in the top left. If he cared that much he would of done something to stop us using it not a little message box.

yes, i bought minecraft, and yes I think more ppl should buy it, since its a really awesome game.
but notch doesnt care about pirating stuff. He allowes mods, and he said that when this minecraft rage has stopped,(so theres not many ppl buying THE FULL game, he will release it.

I too have financial issues, being a single Dad on a disability pension. I have PURCHASED a copy for my eldest, and plan to do so for my youngest as well. When money permits, I will get a copy for me.

Until then, I will play the cracked version. Even if I have to pay the non-Beta version price later. It simply is a matter of finances for me. The dollar only goes so far.

The creator must have expected "illegal copies", especially as he/she made provisions for MODS and such.

If we are talking about supporting notch like he is some kind of underground indie developer, you can forget it. He has already made 3 times the money everyone in this thread will make in their lifetimes combined.

In the past 24 hours he has made €167,410.10, or $242,884.62. It gets split up in the company between people, but Notch still gets a large portion of that.

So when one man can make more money in two weeks than the president of the United States makes in an entire year, I dont think he minds too much if a few thousands of people download his game without buying.
