ok so my gram-pa gave me his old mic and im running windows XP pro SP3
and it wont work on my computer and anyone help
like my computer wont pick it up like i put it in the jack and nothing?

yeah i tested it on my dads windows 7 HP and worked really good and i hook it up to mine and im all like

Try a different mic input...
Or it could just be that you need to install drivers?
Or set your recording devices to that mic..

Make sure it's the right port you're plugging into, because it should at least detect it. Also make sure you have the drivers installed and up to date.
