no plugins exist (publicly) that support LTA files with 3ds max 2010 or 2011...the newest 3ds max for that is 3ds max 7 from like 2002

and with that being said...good luck with plugin installation...its stupid

it's quite easy to get the models. but so far as i know, i haven't been able to get the actually animations into 3ds max.

Well thanks all. And that's a false accusation. I know how to model. Modelling and converting to the correct file format are two completely different things. So how could you compare ones skill at the to ones skill at converting and finding the correct programs.
That's like telling an accountant he's stupid because he doesn't understand particle physics.
