Laptop charger

My laptop charger just gave out on me as far as I know when its plugged into the wall it will show a green light showing that it can charge but when I plug the charger in my laptop it doesn't charge it

Any idea of whether its the laptop or the charger because usually my charger gets extremely heated when plugged in for awhile and its been plugged in for an hour and its pretty cold

/suggestions?

It's the chargers plug, that you plug into your PC.

I am going to have to go out and buy another one only other laptop charger I have is from the stone ages so I will just have to stick with my desktop for now.

i had this problem a while ago i just spliced the wires with a new power cord n it worked fine after that...if you don't know how too google works great

you need your laptop model and the DC output (not input), including the voltage and amphere of your orignal charger.

The charger socket on your latop might not be picking up the charger.
Or the charger's not working.

Im thinking its just the charger and its a laptop from walmart I don't think they have thousands of different chargers but I will bring my old one just in case, I don't think its the battery because I was still able to use my laptop until the power ran out

and another reason I believe its the charger is because usually my charger will become heated when its plugged in the wall and its just not gaining heat and its been in for an hour.

Try the following: Chek drivers on PC and if not workin, reinstall or unistall them.
If problem persists, buy the new charger and if problem presists, try getting professional aid (on the store u bought it for example).

Can't get on my laptop the battery's completely dead, just going to go buy a new laptop charger is all.

Yes, bring your laptop to wherever your going to go. My Sony Vaio Laptop's charger that came with it suddenly stopped working. It's the charger itself, not the laptop because when I tried my new charger it started working. Good luck in your search.
