You can buy Arma 2 allowing you more options but they made a free version with some restrictions but it's still close to the full game other then that you can't really use mods.

as for Cod and BF thos games are more of fast paced FPS
this is an FPS where it's like real war and you don't just go running into the open spraying people.

this is a game for people who want a sense of realism into their games such as how bullets drop after a certain range and so on. and cammo that actually works.

Actually battlefield bad company 2 you cant just run in the open. You gotta play defensively and use tactics. Bfbc2 has all the realism also.

i played bc2 and the realism is nothing like that of arma, bfbc2 you can still just run in and shoot the game is simple realism if anything.
in
arma the military training i recived while doing my BMQ i actually put to use where as in BFBC2 i really didn't need to put that much into it.
