    PC hardware

Anyone into hardware? I'm gonna buy and built a new computer, but I don't have that much knowledge about hardware.

    ASUS GeForce GTX 550Ti 1GB PhysX CUDA PCI-Express 2.0, GDDR5, DVI, native-HDMI, HDCP
    BenQ 24" LCD G2420HD 1920x1080, 40000:1, 2ms, VGA/DVI/HDMI
Cooler Master Elite 430 Midi Tower Black Vifte: 1x 120mm Front, Blue LEDs, mATX, ATX, 2x USB, 1x Audio
    Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9 Kit w/2x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24, for Core i5 and i7, 1.65V, Intel XMP
    Fractal Design Newton R2 650W PSU ATX 12V V2.3, 80 Plus, Modular, 2x 6+2pin PCIe, 8x SATA, 120mm Vifte
    Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3, Socket-AM3+ ATX, AMD870+SB850, DDR3, 2xPCIe(2.0)x16, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0
    Intelฎ Core™ i5-650 Processor Socket-LGA1156, Dual Core, 3.2Ghz, 4MB, 73W, Boxed w/fan
    Lite-On DVD/Blu-Ray Reader, iHOS104-37 SATA, 4x BD-ROM Read, 8x DVD-ROM Read, Bulk, BLACK
Logitech Wireless Desktop MK260 KB Layout Pan-Nordic
    Western Digital Caviarฎ Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3.0), 16MB, 7200RPM

Can anyone tell me whether or not all these components work together (like, if the power supply is correct and if the case is too big/small etc.), and if there is something missing?

There's a reason this computer isn't kick ass. It's because I can't afford anything more.

Instead of only 4gb ram go up for 6 at least, if u will use it for gaming.
And processor is fine if quadcore which isnt, its a dual core u got there. upgrade it to an i7 of 2.8 gHz imo
Graphics card is ok I guess.. /

Maybe other members give u better advice.

@Locke You can't use Intel CPUs with AMD motherboards. And besides, the CPU you chose is last gen.

Go with Intel i5 2400 CPU and this motherboard. You could get a bit better graphics card if you have the budget but everything else looks fine.

4GB RAM for gaming is more than enough.

I don't know much about computers, but as far as GTX 550 goes, your good and set for gaming.

No no no, ignore these noobs.

i5 2500k is the best in the i5/i7 series for GAMING, if that's what you want to do, otherwise an i7 is the way to go, for the motherboard get a P67 or Z68 series. They work well with the i5/i7 series CPUs. Oh and 4GB is more than enough to handle pretty much any game out right now.

The 2500k is probably out of his budget. If you look at the CPU he chose, the 2400 matches that regarding price. But if he does have that good budget, sure, he should get the 2500k and never look back.

I upgraded to the i5 2500k CPU. Everything else on your list is too expensive for me.
