Black Screen Upon Startup

Hey MPGH, I recently downloaded A.V.A in hopes of playing it, to me it seems like an excellent game. I downloaded A.V.A both from steam and from the ijji reactor. The game had installed successfully although when i click "Start Game" I hear the sounds of the game in the background but my monitor goes blank and says "No Signal"
I then proceeded to use another monitor and the same thing happened.
I am wondering if it is an issue with "pre set" resolution in the game although It doesn't really make any sense as i do have a 17 inch monitor.

If anyone has a fix, please reply <3

Thanks so much pedo, although I do have a asus gtx 550 ti 1gb graphics card. My custom gaming rig can run crysis maxed out on full settings :P
