Go open your case, leave your motherboard exposed, discharge any static before you go retrieve your sound card. Make sure it's dusted, nothing is interfering with the chips, then reboot.

If that doesn't work, reinstall drivers if you know what the name of your card is.

i recommend opening up your computer and clean out the dust that builds up in their. Also Make sure the sound card is fine and isn't damaged in any way. If see that it's fine just call the computers production company and give them the model number ect... and ask what sound card went with the computer. Then go online look it up and download the driver. If it is damaged go buy a new sound card

Yeah How Do I Get Rid Of Static

Just touch some metal like a door knob before you touch your motherboard. You can look up your motherboard's part number and find out how to identify your sound card slot.

Windows Vista or 7... Control Panel, Device Manager, Sound Controller, Open, Right click Unistall...
After unistalled.... Right click on Sound Controller and scan for hardware changes...
