    Exclamation Aliens vs Laptops? O.o

Ok so im buying a new laptop, solely to use it for mpgh (lie. truth: play games, games, and more games) so im wondering if you ever got an Alienware or maybe good at picking LAPTOPS not DESKTOPS guyz cause ik if u think its desktop everyone would say "build ur own pc dude its way cheaper" so laptops.

Big Question: Are Alienware laptops overpriced and overrated? And if yes what brand has good gaming components for a good price?

There are actually a few cheap Alienware last time I checked online. It was an $800 laptop, but that was quite a while ago. :\

Alienware is reliable, but overpriced. Go for an Asus laptop.

Even if you have the money for an Alienware laptop, don't buy it. They have overheating issues, if you have a high end GPU people reported temeperatures exceeding 90 degrees Celsius. If you operate at that level, you are doing severe damage to your hardware and drastically shortening its life. Alienware has terrible stock coolers, desktops and laptops, but the laptops are worse. Not only do your components fry, but also there have been broken hinges and several faulty motherboards from Alienware. Anyway, my main concern with an Alienware laptop is overheating, they run up to 90 degrees Celsius when your max GPU temps should be less than 75 degrees Celsius.

Or you can just build a laptop and save a ton of money. It's a little more difficult than building a desktop, and the parts are more sensitive, but it cans till be accomplished.

NEVER buy any Alienware unless in desperate circumstances, because they still often have poor build quality. Don't spend the money on it, even if you have it.
