It is difficult to start, and it's definitely not something you would call easy... but once you get the hang of it it can be rewarding Simple programming is a fun and entertaining pastime.

Prerequisites

• Being good at math helps
• Problem solving skills
• Persistance
• General intellect
• COMMON SENSE

^^Those will all help you. Now, there are hundreds of different languages, but some are definitely more common than others.

I would recommend Visual Basic which is a good starting language. Web design (HTML, PHP programming) is also fun to learn and a highly employable skill.

The languages used to make hacks are normally the C language, particularly C++. These are difficult, and should be attempted once you have a grasp on programming.

Personally I like HTML and CSS and I am interested in learning Visual Basic and C++.

I do not have the time however so I will probably just stick with what I know and venture into PHP instead.

Visual Basic is much easier than HTML... I suppose they are different types of programming, but in the end VB is much easier. Function names are obvious and the syntax isn't as hard to understand as HTML.

i found that learning html was easier than learning vb...

but i guess its different for everyone
