Ruger Mini-14 Review

Probably my third tutorial. Any ways, today we're going to be going over the new gun: The Ruger Mini-14. It's a newly released GP Gun from the latest Zombie Mode Update. It's available in the item shop for 46k GP.

Power on the Ruger
The power is on par with the AK. It's a three shot kill to the body, about five shots to the leg, 9 shots to the arm, and one shot headshot on all ranges. The guns power doesn't deform or overshape on any ranges. Meaning, the power doesn't change at all. It's just as reliable as the AK.

Accuracy on the Ruger
The Ruger has very good accuracy, having to have pinpoint accuracy for the first three shots, makes it a reliable choice. On close range, this gun is great. Mid-Range, you might need to do a bit of spraying while crouching, or double shotting. From long range, one shotting and double shotting is necessary, as spraying doesn't get you anywhere. The recoil is as monstrous as the AK, allowing same traits as the AK to move onto the Ruger.

Recoil on the Ruger
The recoil on the Ruger from the bar'd stats look high, but its a different feeling from when you play in game. Close range, like all guns, is very accurate. But apparently, the Ruger shows a different feeling into it. When I spray it towards a wall from a good distances, all the bullets align well and don't go crazy like the AK. Mid-Range doesn't show much of a bad appearance when you spray, but crouching is necessary at times. Long range is all about one shotting and double shotting. Spraying gets you absolutely no where.

Speed/Kill Time on the Ruger
Probably its biggest and main weakness on this gun. The gun isn't entirely slow, but its below the average speed of rifles. It's slower than the AK, which used to be the slowest rifle until the Ruger came out. To some people, because of the steady firing rate, think that its a good thing. Reason might be because its easier to control, and headshots are easier to obtain.

Spray Pattern on the Ruger
The Spray Pattern is very good. It feels different comparing to most rifles. From close range, it's very accurate. All the bullets stay together. Other guns tend to spread around just a little bit, but the effects of the spray pattern become worse over longer ranges. But like said, the Ruger is great for close range combat.

Is it worth the GP?
I don't agree that it's worth the GP, which is 46K. It basically has AK Stats, but a less firing rate. I would say it should have been worth around the same price of the AK, which is 43k, or anything else in between 40k and 43k would be a reasonable price for this gun.

Final Thoughts
Well to break this review all down for you; it's a crappier version of the AK, but it has its advantages. The slow firing rate helps some people control the gun better, and maybe even make headshots more better. The spray pattern is properly and closely aligned, making it highly accurate. The recoil isn't as bad as it seems. The power is equal/on par with the AK. It's not worth the GP, but its still a reasonable and a reliable gun. For pre-requisites of the AK, this gun would be a reasonable choice. From where everything else goes, in my opinion, it's a great choice for a gun.


Something to keep in mind:
• It's available on a low level.
• It's reliable because of its power, low speed, making it easy to handle.
• Good practice if your getting into the AK.
• It's a permanent GP Gun.

To my own thoughts, I didn't really played with that gun (picked it up one time) but if u are new in Crossfire, u should get this gun, it's quite easy to do headshots with it (well, for me it is).

Some things you've got wrong, the power actually goes down from about 46 to 40 over long range, still maintains a 3 shot kill so that doesn't matter much and also you said the ak was the slowest rifle since ruger, but the k2 was. Also for future reviews i'd get pictures of the gun ingame, or the ones used in the online mall.

I mean, i made a series of the M4, not as in depth as this one, but still.

I started off making reviews of single guns and such, got bored made an entire review of the m4a1's/ak's as my swansong of sorts, and stopped reviewing. After that tristan copied my idea, now everyone is copying him using the families. When I started reviewing there weren't many stickies and most of the active people looked at the reviews as they came out weekly /

I bought it. Rate of fire is really shitty and recoil is pretty high as well.
