Angel Beats! - Made by the same creators of Clannad, Kanon, Air. Its kinda like Haruhi Suzumyia as the main female character is all demanding and shit.
Deadman Wonderland - Good plot kinda twisted. Most fked up place its set in.
Darker than Black - Another pretty good anime.

Probably one of my top 5 anime of all time.
Although it is sorta mindfuck.

Opinions on Durarara? Have heard good talk about it, but never caught my attention.

DRRRRR!!! is like baccano, if you like one you like the other. Pretty good and uplifting. Its not finished, but i doubt they will make a second season(just like Avatar TLA didn't finish, but they decided it was).

try this series Shikabane Hime I don't know if it's action, but it was an good series even tho it ends at a cliff hanger.
Full metal panic was an good anime has mech and action.

Shikabane Hime gets really interesting there are 2 series Shikabane Hime: aka and Shikabane Hime: Kuro
Both cool and have a really good plot.
