Likelihood suggests this 'keylogger' isn't serious; but like the article says... insurgents have inconspicuously hacked US Army networks subtly before.This concept freaks me out... can you imagine what would happen if somehow, the Pakistani government or Taliban seized control over US missile drones?

Oh man..

Your thoughts on this article/issue in general? I personally think the US is doing a horrible job on the technological front of the war, but thats just me.

Well, if there are access codes or launch codes which have to be typed in to the console to launch the missiles, having those numbers in enemy hands is pretty damn stupid - especially if the future holds further hacking when the enemy can control the direction of the missiles.

Plus, the co-ordinates of automated drones get typed in somewhere, right? If the Taliban know a rocket is coming - they can relocate... or even worse... place civilians or high priority targets in those co-ordinates to make the US look bad. Hell, they might alter the co-ordinates like a guy mentioned before to hit America.

This article isn't highlighting the effects of the key logger itself, its highlighting the fact that the US drone system has less protection than your average PC with free anti-virus. Does that make you feel safe?
