Do as Sir Ragealot said. I have a AMD Radeon 6950 HD in my bad prebuilt computer, and my FPS was not that bad at all, and i was runing it at high.

from the beta to the full fps is the same.. 10-20 fps on ultra LOW settings. my conf:

This is what I am running and I can stick it on ultra on everything.

Windows 7 64bit

quad core

4 gig of ram

Gforce GT 240> 1024 of ram( they said it was not compatible with BF3) lol proved wrong.

G9X gaming mouse> Excellent for turning the DPI up on the fly when using turret guns so not slow moving round.

You will run BF3 in low settings, your CPU is fine.
If you where going to upgrade your video card do not listen to what other people say
about Radeon I had a ASUS HD 6770 and it died out on me in a couple of days had to get a Gts 450 which is better then the 6770 i had.
If you where needing some ones advice i would say nvidia GTX 250+ or a crossfire.
