    Dubstep

This isn't it. This is real music. This is made with instruments. Stop listening to something you don't understand. Stop talking about the "whomps" and remember why music was originally intended to be listened to, let it take you away. Don't let one genre affect your life. And remember, there is more to music than wobble bass, or bass drops, or synth noises. There is music. And that's all that you need to know.

You sir are a fool, alot of dubstep uses samples recorded from live instruments... if you knew anything about music you'd know this

Mixes are separate from the distorted synth found in modern-day dubstep. If you go back a few years each mix that was recorded (or dubbed) in to the song had a layer of straight distortion. The wobble bass as well does not follow modern music theory as the different pitches are rarely kept on the same scale, it usually tends to sound melodic, then harmonic. Changing the scale takes away from the full clarity of the pitches being separated by the synth. If you knew music THEORY you would know this.

As Greg said, Dubstep uses pre recorded sounds
