Yea lets sell the keys for a dollar kinda stupid?
1 dollar isn't going to be worth much and if they did it was meant for free2play.
So simply put this half of there players would quit leaving still the hackers.

honestly i dont believe hackers would stay, cause if they get banned they would have to pay again and again and legit players would only have to spent 1$, some players might Quit but still they would make more profit (i know they claim to be a not profit organization) and with that money they could provide a better service.
Like i said and if cheaters come back it would only give them more money.
1$ doesnt seem like much, and thats good from the users point of view.
But get that 1$ 25.000 times and its quite a nice amount of money.

As i was saying not everyone has a Dollar so they would have less players when ALTER is a private server?
They would also have the law breathing down there neck since MW2 is infantry's copyright.
So which means; they can not simply make any money off a copyrighted game.
