I've seen lots of threads about Anonymous Operations such as #OpFacebook. There are many, many fake videos sent out claiming to be from Anonymous, starting fake operations. Here are some actual websites to get information about operations that are actually going on. and of course, the big Operations would not be discussed publicly as it would have given Facebook weeks of Advanced notice to set up security counter-measures against any sort of attack.

@Mikko726 No, just seen too many threads on fake operations. rumors spread faster than the truth, as always.

@Swiftdude True, but the rumor spread as if it was. Anonymous did lots of things that day, but taking down Facebook was not one of them, nor planned. Anyonymous uses Facebook, Twitter, IRC. No reason to shut it down.
