Has anyone here had this problem with any of the HD 57xx series cards?

im not sure if im allowed to post this in this section so move it please if im not..


I get the infamous 'grey screen of death' with my HD 5770 i bought second hand. it is the issue where every now and again when im playing a game, the screen will come up with grey vertical lines and the sound will be looped. i read up on the internet and found this was an issue when the cards first came out and they fixed it with or a driver or something? at least thats what i heard for the hd 58xx series. but i never found a fix for the 57xx series. why? also i cant find a post about this which isnt like after 2009? iv tried heaps of things such as hotfixes and what not. it doesnt do it as much if i underclock my it to 750 mhz core clock (default 850) and change the voltage from 0.950 to 1.200 and have the fan run at 100 percent all the time.. but it still does it sometimes :'(. and to top it all off i cant return it anymore because at first i thought it was because of my crappy 450w generic psu so i waited until i got a new better one.. but then it still did it.

did anyone have this problem? if yes how did you fix it?

Checked AMD's site for latest drivers? Reset the clocks to default and make sure to clean out any dust stuck in the fan.
