Both x32bit and x64 bit versions have the licensing for over 4gigs of memory. However, this licensing is locked on the x32. In order to unlock it, I do believe a bit of kernel editing is involved.

You can install either 64bit or 32bit.

32 bit is actually called x86... Which is retarded and confusing. (least to me)

Even without the limiter I thought 32-bit still had limitations of 4 gigs, unless he had Windows 7 Starter

Both x64 and x32 have the licensing for over 4gigs of mem. x32 has a limiter which involves kernel editing to bypass.

I did not know this So what are the actual limitations of an unlocked x32 bit system?

None, the only difference between a x64 system and a x32 is the memory limiter.

That is the most pointless thing I've ever heard. Why the fuck would they even introduce the limiter in the first place?

Ins't it obvious? 4 gigs is a huge limitation on a professional system. The x64 has a limit of 8-192gb, based on the operating system edition. It's all business of course.
