Why should we be bothered by it? If aIW decides that we want to make our own then it will be sent out to several hundred thousand clients in a single update and I somehow doubts that someone would want to have two 'friend tools' running at the same time.
This only shares the IPs between the 'friends', probably over some P2P network with a server that resolves all hostnames and keeps track of all online servers as to not flood the gameservers (that's bad m'kay). The only 'bad' thing about it would be if some hedgehog joined the network and collected all the IPs of the cheaters as this would only be released on cheating/hacking sites. Also, if the program would have sufficient access and the sort of network system that I suspect then some hacker on this hacker forum might just use it to turn that little network into a cute little botnet <3
Well, food for thought..
Edit to be on topic:
The background texture is pretty bad, I do like it but the way it's arranged with the textures not joining together as they should makes the whole interface look like you threw it together in 5 minutes and couldn't be arsed to actually tweak it. The background for the message box needs to be downscaled and wouldn't suffer from either making it brighter or transparent to show off the text better.
Love the login box though, maybe some shadowing for the corners to go together with the rest of the interface.. heck, even a drop-down shadow would be pretty nice to have.. also a different font for the username and pass :3
As for general project feedback, take out the aIW text everywhere and make it a global friend tool. Right now it just looks like you're one of the namedropping kids.. also, love how you voted on your own poll =P
