confused over PSU and mother board

i was doing some double checking on some parts to verify that the new PSU i was gonne be ordering soon would work and im kinda at a loss...
my current PSU is a Bester atx-250 12z which came with the PC
and the mother board is an ECS Iris 8 which also came with the PC
heres the part that confuses me my MB has a 20+4 pin main connector port but yet the plug thats in it is a 20 pin so this is when i looked up the PSU i have
it has a 20 pin main connector but it also has a plug im not familiar with...a P4 X1
heres a pic of the PSU

so heres my question
if i replaced it with a new PSU probably this one which has a 20+4 pin connector not a 20 and doesnt have a "P4 X1" connector would it work? o_O

this is hardware support so i suppose this is the right section for this...

the 20+4 pin connector means that there is 20 pins plus 4 pins that are detachable
the "P4 X1" is the same thing as the extra 4

ooo one more question...can i just plug the 20+4 pin in the 20+4 pin port? or do i need to separate them and plug them into there own ports like it is now?

curious because i want as little wires as possible to get in the way of the fans so if i cant its no biggy

yeah most of the time(like on mine) it was just held together with tape
and no unless your mother board is a 20 pin then there is no reason to take them apart....just leave them together and pop it in
