My second ever animu drawing

3 days ago, a thread on /a/ inspired me to learn to be a drawfag so I grabbed my extra debate notepad and have been practicing drawing anat from a PDF.

Whether or not it's any good, I'm proud of myself for going from disproportional stick figures to this in 3 days ^.^


(Sorry for shitty picture, scanner didn't work well so I used my camera and desaturated the yellow pages in Photoshop so you could see the lines)

Uh, the eyes are a bit.. well cold, dark? Add a U shaped line shit something in there (would symbolize the iris or someshit).
And let the hair flow It's way too rough, even if it is konata, look in the left lower corner, try to avoid that, usually hair is only shading and some part of it would be the hairstyle itself, add shading to that shit.

Uh, the eyes are a bit.. well cold, dark? Add a U shaped line shit something in there (would symbolize the iris or someshit).

Now that I'm looking back, I see what you mean about the flow, it is rather off. I'm just awful at shading so I avoided using it, hopefully I can improve.

Anyways, I'm working on figuring out how to draw bodies now (hard as fuck for a non-creative person like me ^.^) and I think I've improved the flow of a face. I drew Ika-chan, maybe I'll post a picture later

I'm not so much following tutorials but reading a PDF about drawing figures. The guy gives tips and it seems like it's directed at a much higher level than me but it still helps me out a bit.
