Well the books compared to the movies;
-Movie focused to much on the leadup of the games and not the event itself
-Not enough detail on Katniss' relationship with Gale
-Not enough detail on Katniss hunting/trading to support her family
-Dogs were meant to be genetically engineered to have faces
-Violence toned down incredibly
-Dystopian themes toned down
I enjoyed the movie though, and I hope they make movies of the sequels. It's been a long time since I read the books but I really enjoyed them.
THis movie is good i guess gonna watch it soon.
Barely; I read the first book and half of the second last summer and they weren't too gorey... The movie portrayed the book accurately, i'd give it a 95% similarity. The book wasn't super funny, highly dramatic; it was a well written story, nothing more, nothing less. What I absolutely hate though is the hype it's getting. Too many people are worshipping it, and too many ******s that want to 'differ from the norm' are hating on it. In my opinion, all of 'em are ******s. especially the "Battle Royale" supremacists. Straight up, shut the fuck up to you fags .
Because you can really judge a movie based on the trailer....

I don't see teh problem huehuehue I just wanted to see more blood and gore like the book had
I can agree with a lot of that, but it did seem like they dumbed down the actual fighting in the Arena in the movie. I also didn't like the shaking camera movements, there are supposed to be hidden cameras and cloaked cameras every square inch in the Arena, they should have used those angles. And I agree with you how the book is fantastic just being straight forward, it's not so much filled with gore, but there is a lot more detail in Peeta's leg wound and the beginning of the Arena at the Cornucopia. And that Battle Royal shit is just childish, people are hating on The Hunger Games because a lot of girls like the series as well for the fucked up love story between Peeta, Katniss, and Gale, so the guys have to act like it's the next "twilight". If they read the third book they'd get the action they wanted Especially if they read the part about the escaping kids from Ten that Katniss and Gale saw when they were out hunting
