I Suggest you go for it. You could learn and make things that Teachers want in your own style
so i had this really long talk with my bestfriend Maco today about what we wanna do with our lives.
i told him i wanna be a gfx designer, and he wants to be a music producer, So monday we are going to go up to the college and apply, I told him the only thing thats stopping me from applying is i don't want college to ruin what i love to do, i don't want it to become a hassle in my life to do what i like doing. Like right now im free i can do gfx when ever i feel like it, but i dont want it to become to a point as you give me this and i have to make at this time by tomorrow or something. that will just ruin it for me. I really would love a Teacher or a Tutor that would sit with me in sessions and teach me step by step on how to do things and to further improve my abilities. Also i would really love to start working on video editing with after effects and all that. So i really hope pratt college can help me more then ruin it for me.
Just my lil rant today. i had to get it off my chest.
I Suggest you go for it. You could learn and make things that Teachers want in your own style
Hopefully it doesn't ruin what you want to do good luck .
In life you must do what you like to do or you are gonna ruin your life that suggestion i got it off from my Dad and i aggered with him
That's work.
You work, it becomes a hassle, you can't stop.(won't be 100% of the time)
You're not getting what im trying to say...
I don't want it to become work. i dont want it to become a hassle like ughhhhh i have to do gfx today at this time or i fail! i dont ever wanna say those words. I dont want college to ruin what i really enjoy doing and thats what im afraid of.
I say go for it, it may take time, but at the end it will be worth it. Good Luck.
Unless you build an extensive portfolio on your own there is no way you're going to get a job without providing credentials which you earn through schooling.

If you really love GFX, you should apply for this but always remember that your choice probably won't last forever
If you love it really go for it
Well just think of it this way; it might come to that point after a few years of college, but then you will be able to pursue anything you want to do. You just have to survive the few years of college and then you can enjoy doing what you love and make good money for it. Even with that, if you really love GFX then you shouldn't have to worry about getting sick of it very easily.
