Unused COD4 Key with torrented Installation(Cracked)

So , im thinking about buying a COD4 Key from an trusted store , but the sad thing is that , the key cannot be activated on steam..
So now im thinking do the game should work , if i download torrented version of it , and type the key wheen installing.
Do the multiplayer will work fine if ill do this ?
And remember there will be CD/DVD Crack in the Game folder.(Withouth it Game may ask for a CD/DVD )

Multiplayer Will Work Fine When You Install The Game it Asks For The Key Just Type it In and It will work fine.
