Failed to download version.ini

You don't know how many times I have re-installed Crossfire and tried playing it. It never works! I have even downloaded a new one, but it failed.

It's this error I keep on getting called 'Failed to download version.ini'

i have even checked my internet connections and it's got nothing to do with it. Please help me out!

Go into your CF Folder, which is located in C:\Program Files\Z8Games\Crossfire

Look for your version.ini and open it up.

Make sure your version.ini file looks something like this:

[VERSION]
LatestVersion = 1090
MinimalVersion= 1077
OwnVersion = 5

[DOWNLOAD]
server1 = https://cfpatch.z8games.com/download/

[SERVER]
COUNT = 1
IP1 =74.200.6.133
PORT1 =13008

[HGW]
PORT=16666
SERVER1=74.200.6.161
SERVER2=74.200.6.163
POD1=50
POD2=50

If it does not, make any changes needed so that it matches my version.ini file.

ever tried re-installing using safe mode? It helps you know. Fixes 80% of all errors.
